Futuristic City Furniture | New trends; News from the future…

Technology is evolving. Our habits are changing accordingly. People no longer want to waste time on chores and prefer to dedicate those moments to themselves and their loved ones. They reflect these preferences not only in their choice of personal belongings but also in their consumption habits. On the other hand, there is also a growing awareness of the environment and sustainability is coming to the fore. Local governments also need to respond to these changing preferences on a city scale so that people can take more ownership of the city and feel a sense of belonging. It is at this point that it is necessary to develop and meet the city with futuristic urban furniture together with the concept of smart cities.

Cargo Drones

At Urbaniture, we take this approach into account before starting every design process. We would like to announce the good news of a study that will serve exactly this purpose. In the future, with cargo drones, cargoes will arrive at our personal mailboxes. Of course, their designs will be different from our old cute mailboxes. We are currently working on exactly how it should be. With this product in the design process, in the future we will have personal mail platforms at the entrance of our house or on a ledge on our balcony, and our cargoes will come to these points. As Urbaniture, we are excited and proud to be the first brand to design this innovative product in Turkey.

Multifunctional Work Cabin

In addition to this work, we are waiting for the time when the multifunctional work cabin, which we have developed to support changing working habits and entrepreneurial spirit, will take its place in cities as a new generation urban furniture.

City Tree

We would like to share with you futuristic urban furniture and successful design ideas developed outside of Urbaniture. The first of these is the Tree-function urban furniture developed by Green City Solutions. Unfortunately, the natural resources we consume and the air pollution we cause due to rapid urbanization cause approximately 7 million premature deaths each year. People also need to become more conscious in their choices and change this course. The product called City Tree also serves exactly this purpose. It has the air purification power of exactly 275 city trees. As you can imagine, it is not a real tree. It is a moss culture with a high air purification rate. With its large surface area, it can absorb harmful gases from the air. The product, which also provides an additional contribution with its solar panel, also has a system that directs rainwater to the soil. As Urbaniture, we think that urban furniture with this function will diversify and even be used as personal planting areas. Therefore, we have also included the design of urban furniture that serves this purpose among our future plans. In the meantime, if you want the City Tree to be implemented in your city, you can contact us.

Beehive

There is another useful urban furniture that can be considered together with personal planting areas. The beehive by Philips is a truly futuristic urban furniture. It is a conceptual study designed to be integrated into the walls or windows of houses. It naturally attracts bees with its outdoor pot unit. So the product serves both as an urban furniture and as an accessory for the home. Wouldn’t you like to strain the honey and bring it to the table just before breakfast? Philips Beehive offers you this luxury.

Our interest in new generation urban furniture will continue, and we will continue to share exciting projects with you as we encounter them.
